William Price doing 2000 mile charity bike ride

William Price will not be at Saxons for the next few weeks as he is doing a 2000 mile charity bike ride across Europe from Budapest.

As you may know, on Sunday morning William and his school friend and fellow Wasps player Fabrice Lavenir(16) flew to Budapest to meet our friend Robert Guyot (67 retired patissier from France) to embark upon a charity cycle ride.

From Budapest all 3 “Mousquetaires” (or Musketeers to the English) will cycle back to London and then down to Moulins in France. They will cycle around 2,000 miles which will take them nearly 4 weeks. They are doing this in aid of the Serge Betsen Academy (a charity set up by Serge Betsen, ex London Wasps rugby player and French international, to help underprivileged children in the Cameroon) and the Red Cross.

They will be cycling unaccompanied and carrying all their own camping equipment and luggage.

Their website will be updated every day with photos of their day’s journey and they will also write a diary entry/blog.

There is a section where you can leave messages to encourage William and his two fellow cyclists along the way; they really love this and it is especially nice for them if they have had a difficult day.

The website address for sponsorship, leaving messages of encouragement (or mild insults) and details of their journey is: www.enroutemousquetaires.com

William would be really grateful if you would consider sponsoring him. Even the smallest amount will be hugely appreciated.
