Veteran 4 Nations International Tournament

Saxon Fencing Club’s Nick Mort was selected to represent Scotland at the Veteran 4 Nations Tournament being held in Dublin, on the weekend of 4th-5th May 2013.

With Nick in the team, Scotland finished 2nd overall and 3rd in the Mens Foil.  The results were as follows:

England 45 – 30 Scotland

Scotland 45 – 22 Wales

Scotland 43 – 42 Ireland

Brighton Open 2013

Zoe Sumra was  the women’s Sabre Champion and Ben Usher won the Mens Sabre title with Adrian Medhurst coming fifth, Alistair Venn sixth and Lawrence Knott eleventh.

In the Men’s Epee Alex Seale came thirty third.

Saxons had two entries in the Women’s Foil, Oxana Mickhaleva came sixth and Claudia Wilton in her first competition came eighteenth. In the Men’s Foil Clyde Fare came a very good fifth losing to the eventual winner 15-14, while Paul Lowen came ninth and Nick Mort tenth.
