Paul Lowen selected for GBR

Congratulations to Paul Lowen, who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Veteran Fencing Championships from the 16th to 21st October in Krems, Austria.

Ealing Gazette

Saxon Fencing Club and it’s members were given a mention in the Ealing Gazette following competition results. The article read:
“Saxon Fencing Clb’s Zoe Sumra battled to an excellent third place at the Essex Open.
The Essex event is the first major national open of the new season and Sumra was in superb form to grab bronze in the Sabre.
It was a busy day for the Acton club and Sumra in particular, as she also entered the foil and finished 43rd in a highly competitive field.
There were mixed results in the Men’s Foil as Paul Lowen came 14th, Edz Maldoom 37th, Nick Mort 45th, David Standen 47th and Chris Mollard 57th.
James Perkins finished 11th in the Intermediate competition that ran alongside the main event.
Elsewhere, Arthur Gunn Cunninghame came 62nd in the BSC Junior Men’s Épée and Laurence Knott came 12th in the South of Ireland Open competition.”

Saxon Tracksuits

There has been a small delay from the manufacturer resulting in the club receiving the tracksuits later than anticipated. They should, however, be dispatched to the club by the end of August.
