Ealing takes Gold at the London Youth Games

Last Sunday a number of Saxon fencers were in the Ealing fencing teams that took part in the London Youth Games. Both the under 18 and under 15 teams gained the Silver medal. When their results were combined the result was that Ealing had taken the Gold medal – for the first time since the 1980s .

The Saxons who took part in the u18s were – William Price, David Hope and Gabriel Cottrell-Kirby.

The ones who took park in the U15s were – Dougy Ashby, Seville Barbeva, Fernanda de Silva and Emma Frechin.

Two other Saxons, Jasmine Porter and Phillip Lappas fenced for the Hillingdon team which took the combined Bronze Medal.

“I’m sure part of the reason for their success was the experience they have gained from fencing everybody at Saxons.”

Paul Lowen, Saxon Club Captain

Congratulations everyone, a solid job.
